With over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting, business management, and entrepreneurial ventures, founder David C Carkeek established MTT to provide a professional, comprehensive, and stress-free solution to marine documentation services.

We offer a range of services, including ownership transfers, obtaining pleasure craft licenses and Transport Canada registrations, lien searches, and Trust/Escrow Account services to hold funds on behalf of buyers and sellers.

David C. Carkeek, Principal
Carkeek’s passion for the marine industry goes back to his childhood sailing. His brother excelled in sailboat racing and his cousin is currently a world-famous yacht designer. This family connection to boats has stayed with Carkeek throughout his life and led him to establish MTT to provide expert marine documentation services to Canadian boat buyers, sellers, brokers, and dealers.
Prior to founding MTT, Carkeek held various senior positions in finance and business management. He served as the COO of a publicly traded real estate investment company and has successfully invested in and advised numerous start-ups and early-stage companies throughout his career, leveraging his expertise in finance and business management. Carkeek is currently on the board of a publicly traded gold mining company as well as a titanium mining company soon to be publicly traded. Carkeek volunteers for the Royal Canadian Search and Rescue, serving on the Board of Directors of Station 14 in his hometown of Gibsons.
